I’m an artist based in Aldershot, UK, balancing my full-time job as an environmental consultant with my passion for creating art. For years, I played small, but now I’m embracing my authentic self—bold, colourful, and unapologetically creative.
My Story
Hey, I’m Lauren—the artist behind Studio LRN and I’m based in Aldershot, UK. Art has always been a part of me, but for years, I kept it in the background, unsure if I could take up space as an artist, especially being self-taught and harbouring a strong sense of imposter syndrome! Sound familiar? We’re so often told—especially as women—to stay small, to be quiet, to just go along with things and do what society expects of you. But I’m done with that. After 26 years of dimming my own light, I’m finally stepping into who I am, embracing the mess, the colour, and the magic of creativity.
By day, I’m an environmental consultant with a first-class geology degree (University of Leicester, 2019). By night, I’m covered in paint, lost in my world of colour and fun. Juggling a full-time job and also finding time (and energy) to be creative isn't easy and it doesn't help that the little voice in my head loves to remind me how vulnerable it feels to share my work. But here’s the thing—nothing magical happens inside your comfort zone.
So here I am, creating boldly, unapologetically, and with heart. I hope my art sparks something in you, whether it’s a sense of wonder, nostalgia, or the courage to step into your own magic.
